Roman Proniaev was born in 1972 in Voronezh (Russia). In 1991 he graduated from the Voronezh School of Fine Art as a designer.
His first professional experience from 1993 to 1995 is as a designer at the ‘Kamernyi Theater’ in Voronezh - participation in the establishment of the theater and creation of theatrical backdrops for the plays.
From 1995 to 1997 works in the workshop of Voronezh sculptor I. Dikunov, where he gets familiar with new for him materials: clay, gypsum, copper and aluminum.
From 1997 to 2001 lives in Moscow where he completes a number of artistic works - paintings, mosaics, advertising posters, interior designs. Participates in the restoration and interior design of the residence of the French Ambassador in Moscow – a historic landmark house of Igumnov.
In 2001 moves with his family to France, the city of Nantes, where he works for various design firms on commercial and housing interiors. He also completes a line of personal design projects and participates as a painter in a number of exhibitions.
From 2007 to 2011 lives and works as a painter in Zagreb (Croatia).
From 2011 to 2015 lives and works in Sofia (Bulgaria), participates in a number of exhibitions. In 2013 Roman becomes a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) and the International Association of Art (IAA). In 2015 at the exhibition of UBA he was awarded the First Prize in painting.
Currently lives in Nantes.
